upvc three way ball valve is a valve type with three ports, also known as openings. The connection between the ports has a upvc ball with openings to control the media's flow direction. Fluid or gas (media) flows through the valve, and there's a mechanism to turn the ball, which directs flow from one place to another
L-type (L-port) ball valves have an L-shaped flow path that can be used to divert fluid at a 90-degree angle. The design includes a ball with a bore shaped like a capital 'L'. This shape allows the fluid to flow through two of the three ports while the third port remains closed
There are two types of 3-way ball valves: L-Port and T-Port. An L-Port can send flow one way or the other or can shut it off completely. A T-Port will perform all the same flow tasks as an L-Port but cannot be shut off. In addition, the T-Port can mix flows by sending or receiving flow to/from both ways of the Tee.
The L Port Valve and T Port Valve are both known as 3-way valves. This is due to their T-shape body with three ports. These valves both divert flow to and from different ports. The L Port Valve allows one action whereas the T Port Valve facilitates another.
A valve in an engine is operated mechanically , whereas a port is just an opening which is opened and closed by a piston . A four stroke engine uses valves and a two stroke engine uses ports. Ports are the open spaces from where fuels intake or exhausts in 2 stroke engine.
A UPVC three-way ball valve with an L-port or T-port is a valve with three ports that can divert or mix fluid streams:
- L-portCan send flow in one direction or the other, or shut it off completely. It can connect two orthogonal pipes, but cannot keep the third pipe connected at the same time.
- T-portCan perform all the same flow tasks as an L-port, but cannot be shut off. It can connect three orthogonal pipelines with each other and block the third channel. It can also mix flows by sending or receiving flow to/from both ways of the Tee.
